According to Sainsbury’s Car Insurance, over a million people have admitted that they are driving without insurance for the last year. Almost two-fifths of these uninsured people are aged 17-24 years old, and their age makes them more at risk than the rest of the population. 19% of those who admitted said they don’t have insurance because they could not afford it, and this same people believed that it was not necessary to own a car insurance. The bad news is that the cost of uninsured motorists adds an extra Pounds 30 to the average annual car insurance premium, and those who are insured gets the burden.
