Here’s an article from CarInsurance.com regarding seniors learning defensive driving. Good for them!
Jan. 13–Santa Fe residents Ray and Irene Wildenstein used to take defensive driving classes when they worked for the state but haven’t taken any since their retirement. When they read about the American Association of Retired People Driver Safety Program in the Senior Scene newsletter, they thought they should take advantage of the opportunity.
“It’s a good idea for everyone to follow up on driver safety,” Irene said as she and Rudy waited in the sitting room at the Mary Esther Gonzales Senior Center for the class to start.
“Especially in Santa Fe with all the small and narrow streets in the neighborhoods,” Rudy added. “You need all the defensive driving you can get in Santa Fe.”
